A fond farewell to the Fabia

Featured Replies

I know the guy who's bought this, so i've directed him to the forum.

That looks in very good condition and i hope the new owner looks after it.

I can't remember when i last saw a early yellow car but years ago i remember a sprint yellow one in a car park which stuck in my mind because it was on a 57 plate.

Glad it has gone to another good home, I bought the Fabia in 2017 off a fellow Briskoda member who had owned it from 18 months old.

I sold it in 2020 to Richard who is a very close and long time friend of mine aswell as a fellow VAG-Nut.

So it is good to know it is going to be appreciated by another enthusiast!

I really should make a thread on here myself since I am back in another Skoda now 😁

Right that Fabia is nice, but I'd like to know more about that Mk3 Golf... :)

Lol, the Golf was another car bought off a friend. A VR6 which served as a daily driver for a while.

I'm torn between using it as a running gear donor for a Mk1 or 3 Cabrio or tickling it with the welder.

Its got a sweet engine, still starts on the button. Having gone through a Corrado VR6 over the last couple of years and getting on back on the road another project beckons.

PS I replaced the Fabia with another Bonelorry hand me down, his Golf GTI Edition 35.

Hi all, not too sure how to use this forum at all but I’ll give it a go… I’m Callum I brought the Fab in this thread of rich summer this year. Abit about my self I’m 20 years old and Nothing but a petrol head. I have a 2011 Clio rs200 in liquid yellow in which I did daily up until I brought the Fabia, which is now my weekend track toy and under going work for it to go to the Nurburing for the second time next year. Since buying the fab I have done nothing but enjoy the car, took care of it and did minor bits like the cambelt/ water pump, brake light sensor and even New old stock genuine MK1 Fabia rubber matts (which don’t fit too well but hey-ho) the car flew past its MOT with only 1 advisory which is the brakes (will be taken care off shortly) . Thanks to you guys for taking care of it and keeping it pristine.
