They replaced my 12v as a way to fix the travel assist issues but it didn’t work, nor did the software update, now they are scratching their heads as to what the fix is for that and want me to bring the car in a 4th time.

Anyone know how many attempted repairs are required before i can demand a replacement car?

I thought the fix for the travel assist issues was to replace the cruise control stalk (the lower one on the left hand side)?

Haven’t heard that, it was a software update recall that didn't work for me

I knew I’d seen it somewhere!!

After asking for clarity on how and when the "Departure planner" feature would be rolled out, I got what I think is quite an encouraging response from Skoda Customer Service:

We absolutely understand your frustration charging and departure planning is indeed an essential feature, especially for optimizing energy costs through overnight tariffs.

At this stage, our development team is continuing to work on resolving the issue affecting this functionality. While we are unable to provide an exact timeline just yet, please be assured that restoring this service is a priority, and we will notify you immediately once it is operational again.

Once the issue has been resolved, the feature should reactivate automatically in your vehicle no additional action on your part is expected. If any update or restart is required, we will include clear instructions in the notification.

This certainly seems to imply that this will be 're-activated' in my car ... so hopefully, it will be the same for anyone with this model :)

Yes, but the lack of a timeline (when they said mid July to me) makes me nervous!

Skoda have just emailed me and offered a free 6 month subscription to Care Connect, valued at a whopping €20 by way of compensation for the lack of Departure Planner. 😂

What is care connect?

Does not sound like any departure planner upgrades for Kodiaq are close.....

On the App, go to your profile and paid services.

You might find you already have this feature.

I was also offered this a while back.

Their response is 100% from chatgpt. I doubt anyone changed a single letter. And judging by the dates and how many times this feature has slipped, it’s either not on their priority list or for some reason it’s technically blocked. Most probably IT has switched gears into the Enyaq/Elroq or I have read rumors about a new upcoming Kodiaq-sized EV equivalent.

I am not keeping my hopes up, regardless of what their BS machine generated email says.

Sorry guys you are never going to see this feature, stop stressing and enjoy the car

Hi guys. I'm looking to buy a Kodiaq MK2 iV, do you think this is still a problem?

Skoda has announced that the advertised feature to schedule charging from the car or the app to take advantage of cheap night-rate electricity will not be available until 2026. This feature has been promised many times, but I suspect we’ll never see it.

I’ve had the car for a year now and have had ongoing issues with the ACC, which the software update didn’t fix. It’s been in the garage for ten days now. On the other hand, others who have the car don’t have this problem and are very happy with it.

Ive had my car coming upto a year, I don’t believe we will ever see this feature, perfectly happy otherwise

I would certainly ask the dealer about it, and make it clear that the absence of this feature is making you doubt the purchase … any extra pressure on them will help.

I have had mine for a month or so now …. Love it!

I have got around the lack of the feature by installing a timer in the socket …. So I can turn on the charging at 00:30 when the cheap rate starts.

Are you using a granny charger ?

Yes, from Masterplug (Amazon).

I have an Ohme on cheap rate from midnight, I set an alarm on my phone to switch to max charge at 00.05 otherwise car doesn’t fully charge as shuts down after first block of scheduling. Far from ideal but we are late birds anyway.

Hi Budgie

Would you mind sharing the link for the amazon listing for your Masterplug charger. I have a BMW granny charger and it doesn't seem to charge my Kodiak IV consistently. And are you using a simple mechanical / clockwork timer?

Thanks!

This is the one I bought:

Masterplug EV Charging Cable for... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DMFMGC89?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

It’s 10m long and works flawlessly.

I connect it via a Meros Smart Plug

Meross Matter Smart Plug Mini... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CCXQMVHS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

It gets a little warm, but not hot.

Using the smart plug means I can adjust the timing easily, and I have set up an automation in the Apple Home app so that the socket only turns on if I am at home.

So far it’s worked really well, and the Meros app even allows me to monitor how much the electricity has cost.

Thanks Budgie, that's super helpful

Following a complaint to the company that leased me the car, I was offered to reject it, or take a derisory compensation payment.

(Less than 6 months of the extra money it is currently costing me)

I declined both offers.

This has now been passed onto the Financial Ombudsman for them to make a ruling.
