'Sleep package' rear headrests

Featured Replies

My 9yr old has grown out of car seats but still sleeps on long journeys so have been looking at some headrest addons like these.

I noticed recently that the 'sleep package' was an option in the Octavia with headrests shown below, does anyone know if the Octavia headrests are the same as the Superb?

The sleep package came on my car, it was something I really wanted and was enough lucky to get it. It is indeed rare, I have seen it only in few cases in cars advertised for sale.

When I was in dealings still to get the car, I researched the option to retrofit and unless you find a cars for parts is prohibitive. Dealer told me also forget to order as it was a factory option, not a dealer option (but he might be wrong, he did not remember selling one).

Comes together with the rear blinds and with the blanket in its bag.

Today I will ne nowehere near the car, but tomorrow I am and will measure the headrests as reference, I visually do not remember them as close to the Octy III, but it could be to the IV.

The device you linked woman bought it for her car, but when not in use - I mean when the seat is empty - rattles noisily, which is a pity in her otherwise very silent car....

Useful to know, I didn't know it was an option in the Superb mk3. I have left it a bit late to search for parts so just ordered the Amazon version for now, I'll check it for rattling!

Just found this which has a part number

I've just fitted mine with no rattles. It comes with different size adapters to fit around the metal tubes, if it rattles I suspect these have either not been fitted or the wrong size used.

I'm away at the moment. I'll post some pictures next week, by then they should have been tested!

You're the man!

The other day I 'snatched' woman's car to clean it a but after several days of dirty rain, and got curious ... lo and behold, the adapter was missing on one side!

I was rummaging through the drawer of discarded items and found some suitable rubber to put as spacer, but when I took the device out, the missing part fell out, it was wedged between the headrest and the seat. All is fine now .... thanks for the heads' up! ☺️

👍 Maybe they were installed the wrong way round and slid out. They had groves and a lip on one side that matched up to the main section.

I think I have it on the wrong way round actually 🤣 Still worked though.

This is the right way round! The downside is they don't fold back out of the way but they're easily removable when not needed.

These are much nicer than the ones mounted on my woman's car! Way to go! 😉

Shouldn't they line up with the headrest when not in use, rather than sticking up vertically?

The expensive Skoda ones, yes.  Chances of finding anyone that is selling a set is next to impossible.

Aftermarket ones won't b aligned to the headrest design.

I'm just removing the pads when not in use as shown in my last picture above. The frame stays on, the pads are removed in seconds with a push button.

Whilst the OEM ones do look neat, they don't look big enough to me.

Will the ones from the kodiak fit the superb 3 ?

They should, I guess. First thing would be to cross-check OEM references.
