Window aperture seals bending upwards

Featured Replies

Hello all.  The front and rear window aperture seals on our 2014 Octavia combi have started to bend upwards where they meet at the B-pillar meaning water is getting in through the holes.  Here's the diagram and part in question (for the front door at least) https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2014-753/8/837-837060/#3

I've tried bending them down and taping them to see if it would hold but they simply bend back upwards again after a few days.  I could try and buy replacements but not sure how to remove the old ones without damaging the paintwork / door itself so does anyone have any ideas please?

Thanks in advance

UF

By design the inside of the door is a wet area. There are drain holes at the bottom of the door. Replacing the aperture seals are a cosmetic issue and will not stop water getting into the door cavity.

Thanks Krisp1, that's at least one thing I don't need to worry about then 🙂.  Now I just need to access some experience in removing and installing them.

Cheers
