Rear brake part numbers.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm looking to find the part numbers of the rear discs and pads on my 2018 Superb. The old version of Etka I have used in the past no longer works and most websites give multiple options.

Is there a Web site that I can put the vin into and get the correct part nos?

Thanks for your help.

I can’t help with your direct question, but I suggest that buying OEM brake discs and pads is a bad idea. Mine lasted 20k miles. I replaced them with fairly cheap pattern one that were massively better. Skoda brake discs are rubbish!

Yep, partslink24. You have to pay though, unless you know someone who already subscribes...

Not the case for me.

The factory brakes on mk2 Octavia RS lasted 80k+ kms before I changed them for dba pads & discs, even though they still had some meat left.

My current mk3 Superb factory brakes lasted 92k+ kms, even though the rear still had another 5.5mm left.

Changed for dba pads & discs again.

@etskoda - find out the PR codes for ur car to understand the exact brake setup u have.

It will b on ur boot floor.

In my case, I have a MY17 Superb 220, with the following codes:-

- Front: 1ZA = 312mm, vented

- Read: 1KU = 300mm, solid

Not so different a climate here, I managed 103000miles all round on my 12 plate Superb Estate. 69 plate now on 76000 and still going strong.

Pads are worn right down, but the discs are OK for thickness, just heavily corroded

My rear discs were badly scored after 20k miles, they weren’t worn near limit but they had trashed the pads.  I replaced them with Delphi (which are quite cheap) and these lasted much better.

Cars done 49k miles. Hardly used in the last year but the disks look like they've been in the North Sea all that time.

I think this is the point.

122000 km on the clock on mine. I only changed the rear brake pads 5000 km ago. Front brakes and rear brake discs are still original ones.

We sold my wife's Audi Q3 at the end of july, it had 166000 km on the clock and still its complete original brakes and pads...

I think also that Skoda probably buys brake discs from whichever supplier is cheapest at the time, they obviously don't manufacture brake discs themselves! So maybe there is some variation according to which company supplied the discs for your car?

I also surf on a french Skoda forum. But no Superb owner complains about rear discs wear as on Briskoda… 🤷‍♂️

This I assume your point on climate is quite consistent. 😉
