Side mirror does not automatically lower when reversing

Featured Replies

Hi,

When reversing, the side mirror does not automatically lower to make reversing easier?

How do I change the setting to make it work as it should?

Any suggestions?

Put the mirror adjustment selector to the passenger side, now when you put it in reverse, it should move.

You must have drivers memory seat for it to work effectively.

Did anyone ever get this to work in a RHD vehicle with DRIVERS mirror?

I park assways due to Cul de Sac and direction of exit , house location etc.

It works! Thank you for your help  ApertureS.

I have the opposite problem, into reverse for a short time like straightening the car in a space then the mirror fails to go to driving position when driving off.

Frustrating

Alas, it’s only wired up to work on whichever side is the passenger side. Agree it would be far more helpful if it were available on both sides.

Exactly because when you leave the selector on the passenger side mirror you also have the chance to move the normally mirror position by mistake...

It would be much more convenient to have an on/off setting in the infotainment to use it or not.

When you select reverse it automatically selects the sensor view it cameras, a simple button here to dip/not dip the mirrors would be perfect

Now you say that I actually remember seeing a synchronous mirror adjustment tick box in the infotainment system. I'll give it a go 😉

That's just for manual adjustment (and it's not 100% exact on both sides), it doesn't make both mirrors auto drop when reversing, that's still only the passenger side regardless of whether sync is enabled.

Yup. I discovered this at lunch time 😭
