Hiya Nicola!

Hehe, thankyou David :p: Always nice to get compliments :D

hi. and welcome lunalupi.

So, do we get piccies of you, to go with the one of the Lowpo?

Std Octy 110, so maybe overtaking a lower Lupo could be literally over taking? :-)

  • Author

Hehe, its actually an AROSA - the SEAT version of the Lupo (and the better version IMO ;) )

It is only a little car, so yes it probably would be over taking!

I have to get a nice picture of me today, so I might let you see it ;)

Hi and welcome to Briskoda.

There was a point where I knew it was an Arosa, but I got distracted by making the pun about a lowered Lupo (and as you say they're really the same car with different outer panels and suspension settings).

  • Author

Not even different panels - they're as near as identical from the front wings back...! And identical suspension - I have Lupo GTI stuff on at the moment, and changing to Lupo coilovers soon

Love the paint job. Suggest you wear a tight blouse, denim hot pants, and spike heels sometimes!

you know andrew AMD dont you? I'm sure he has sent me some pics of your car

F4, you mean Luna or me knows Andrew? Cos AFAIK I don't, and my car's standard, so you'd not know it from the others I think.

sorry should have stated who I was aiming the question at......Luna with the "lee" style seat :D

Yes, I do know Andrew.

And you should all know that paint job wasn't permanent, it was a costume for Bristol Volksfest ;)

Quite right' date=' watch out for the pervs on here, especially me. ;)

[/quote']Welcome to Briskoda, Nicola. :D It's refreshing to see that TaviaRS (aka Jon) has posted that warning about himself. Unfortunately for him the Sex Offenders Act is excluded from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. I haven't read all the posts here but be very wary if he has asked you if you are cute. :(

Ah, shame that Luna. The General's scheme on something so small and cutesy is a great joke! And the outfit suggestion was based on a hope that you'd look like Catherine Bach did 25 - 30 years back!

I take it the colours were stick-on vinyl panels then? I can't afford the overall respray it would need on mine, but it's given me thoughts about how an Octy would look in a Du Pont / Jeff Gordon metallic blue with red flames scheme!

  • Author

Yes, he has asked if I was cute - I refrained from answering though (David and Emily did on my behalf instead  )

They were paper numbers, and ribbon for the flag - I am tempted to make it permanent, but think I'll do something more neutral instead.

Go on, do a photoshop of it, you know you want to ;)

It's a nice job, at least in the thumbnail. I was thinking of stick-on vinyl "wraps" which are only as permanent as the owner wants (but can leave an unfaded shadow under the graphics if left for several years).

As for the Octy, I don't do computer art. Does anyone know of a reasonable size and cost, say 1:24 scale diecast or plastic, model of the Octy?

  • Author

I've seen a few while on the hunt for a model of mine - but they only seem to produce them in Rally livery.

I finally found one (or rather a friend got me one from) www.biante.com.au, there are some octys on there

Cheers for that Cutiepie. Unfortunately 1:43 diecast competition cars are too expensive, and would be a 'mare to manage the requesite flourescent red and metallic blue on, due to lack of size. I tried a few UK places myself, with similar results.
