Since there are no witness and the scumbag didn't let a phone number (to make an arrangement) the insurance does not cover this.

It's not the colour only, there is a bent on the door, I have to pay it and it's at least 300 euros (250 GBP) and 2 days without a car.

 

I have thought that solution in case that i will park in a not wide road, of course not so big panel (the 1/3 of it)

 

 

 

and only for the side that is exposed to that narrow road.

 

 

 

 

It's magnetic and secured with a cable but my brother said immediately: ''someone is going to cut the cable and steal it".

I find it reasonable, when someone realises for what is for can cut the cable and when goes far away in his neighbourhood to have it for his own car.

You may find this panel as funny, yes it is and may cause a lot of negative comments while the car is parked but think again the money that i have paid for door repairs.

The majority of body repaires use Bondo because they don't want to remove the panel or pull thwe door out (save time).

300 euros are ''killing me'' and it's not the first time.

Unfortunately another ''hit and run'' incident to my Trusty.

A white colour vehicle make reverse, hit my car while it was parked and run away.

The majority of insurances here have the ''bonus malus protection'' which means you have no consequences if you hit a bit another car, there will be no penalty in the fees.

So why he didn't left his license number or even a telephone?

Because he was a local with very low insurance coverage or an non-local with no papers at all.

Unfortunately another ''hit and run'' incident few days ago.Someone turn right more than it should be, his car ''dragged'' on mine and run away.

The results:

1) this plastic parts unplugged and broke one support protrusion

2) a crack on the bumpers paint

3) a scratch on the lower part of the bumper

4) that plastic part scratched and unplugged but i manage to put it back.

The front fender also has a black stain (the colour of the culprit's car) and the cost for the whole damage is around 250-300 euro (218-262 GBP) which i had to pay from my wallet.

They did you dirty, that need a lot of bodywork, we have a special word for them in Greece as you know...

BAD news, last night another ''Hit and run'' incident, someone hit me in the same spot that i had already have been hit few months ago.

As you can see there is a rust spot from previous hit, i was parked in different area but they hit me in the same spot, thankfully the plastic trim stayed in place.

The driver's door does not open properly. 😠

Nobody is gonna catch them, you have to sue them, which costs 100 euros and if they cacth them follow it up with legal action, which will cost 1000-1500 euros

unfortunately i had checked the 1 minute Loop option (battery preserve) so it didn't caught the whole incident.

I check it today, suddenly the car is moving left-right like a boat in the waves (first hit) and after few minutes again (second hit) and then the video stops.

In the next video shows front and right a taxi parked,today i saw the scratches on my car (back fender and the protective plastic arch) both are in yellow colour which is the colour of the taxi here.

Scenario: The scumbag hit me, the alarm sounded and then put reverse,the driver came out check the damages and return to the taxi, he pass more carefully this time and parked front and right of my like ''nothing happened''.

No witness so i can not prove anything.

Here are the marks from the Taxi that hit me.

They they have a characteristic yellow color.

I found the culprit, the b@st@rd has a taxi like wreckage and does not care if he hits-scratches other cars.

Scratches all over plus has a broken light, he parked illegally his taxi inside a square !

Firstly, I would go man to man and ask them, so insurance can handle it...

Exactly, this is a clamping plate used to clamp the bumper (A) and (B) it the broken bumper part.

May I add that the dirt along the 2/3 of the crack signifies that the bumper had an existing crack but the last part, closer to the (B) snapped when you showed it. Most likely this is the result of compounding knocks...

This must have been a rather aggressive knock, as usually it will slide out and not snap. Except if you had tightened it very much.

I personally don't tighten these (left and right) bumper brackets a lot for this exact reason. So they can slide out if need be.

I am actually starting to think you are being targeted (your vehicle) personally. So many small damages in such a short time is a problem. I would consider investigating more

When the Spring comes i will need at least 250€ for repair-paint work of the bumper.

Already has 3 damages and looks very bad (aesthetically).

These repeats are upsetting and annoying for you. They may not be totally targeted more perhaps bloody-minded careless and disrespect for other people's property and possibly their own. Or perhaps they are under drinks and/or drugs. Might all be coincides and the risks of the parking location.

What about buying some video camera(s) and putting them in the car to at least record if not deter - or would they create more problems than they solve. Get cheap one in case someone things they're worth breaking into the car to steal.

Things are getting worst in GR these years, not only local teenagers don't pay attention (cars-motorcycles-scooters) when drive or park but we have non-locals which don't care about the law because the Police under commands does not go after them or the judge shows too much ''indulgence'' in their penalty (when the trial comes after many years).

I have done one scratch in my bumper but the others weren't my fault, even if i pay 1000 euros and paint completely the car like new it's a matter of days to see scratches from keys from b@st@rd kids at night.
