Superb sleeper

Featured Replies

I saw this Youtube video this morning also - I had been looking out for some news on this since I heard RE performance did the mod for Skoda UK.

Does anyone know which KW suspension they use on this project? KW dont list anything compatible for the Superb...

Nice…..I do regret not choosing that green colour with beige interior.

It's surprising how much traction this is getting even though Michael from this forum has done it 7 years earlier with 560bhp and then 3 years ago he inspired me to push it further.

That's AWD for you

It is just strange that this car is so slow.

On CarWow it performed poorly. 12.4s 1/4 and they usually do 1ft roll measurements.

I am doing that time with Stage 1 on old Gen3 engine (without 1ft roll with 350hp/480nm).

The one in "Sleeper" Superb is gen4 engine, 7 speed DSG, 120hp more... So it it pretty lazy and does not have stated power, for sure.

Same VRM, same car.

I know there has been some heavily tuned Superbs before this, it always amazes me that its so much power for basically bolt on parts and a map.

Mostly about turbo boost pressure as much as anything right?

Even standard, 320 in the Golf 8 compared to the 220 in an Escort Cosworth is an impressive sign of the times.
