Is it that good? :D - like worth the

I was goona get Revo from a guy in Darlo but after driving JonTDI's Jabba, I went for that instead.

I've had no experience of Revo, but I guess they are as good as any other generic remap.

My main reasons for choosing Jabbasport custom remap:-

1. Group buy on here, hence cheaper.

2. Set up on rolling road to my specifications.

Ive got revo :D

Any good? I am right in saying there is only one remap for the vRS, regardless of induction mods/sports exhaust aren't I?

In what sense, only one remap? If you mean different suppliers, there are a fair few who developed their own.

Basically a remap tends to alter fuelling and/or boost (generally more fuel & boost ;)) to increase performance.

If you have say FMIC, sport exhaust, hybrid turbo etc, you'd want a very different map to one for the standard car with 'just' a PD160 air intake.

A custom(ised) remap makes the most out of the setup you have for your car. This may not mean max power/torque, it may mean restricted torque to save your clutch for example. Alternatively it could be the opposite. Something like Jason's (devonutopia) car is going for absolute max performance.

Remaps are remaps regardless of who you get them from.

tbh i was dissapointed in jasons car.. was expecting it to be quicker than mine ;)

It smokes more though ;)

Good aren't they:D  My car pulls all the way round to 4500Rpm now and has some wicked grunt...even with big heavy 17's on! It'll be stoopid quick with the 16's back on :)

Well benchmark... Shiftys fabia is regarded as being pretty quick.

mine will slowly pull away on a drag... and ive got the oldstyle uber-leggy gearbox, which counts against me ;)

oh.. and in 70k miles.. ive not broken anything... clutch and turbo still intact :D

Some companies say we'll take it to (eg) 185bhp with no other mods, or if you have other mods like K&N/PD160/BF they'll take it a bit higher with a 'tweaked' remap. I was just wondering if there was a choice of this at Revo.

(A mate of mine wants to know ;))

I've not broken anything either. The turbo impeller broke, common fault apparently, even on standard cars.

The Revo on my Octavia made it run lean, and very hot. Even my back box was purple.

Even my back box was purple.

 im sure theres a creme available to cure that
