Nissan 200sx

So where would a remapped Octavia be on the track against a 250bhp 200SX?

Behind or in front you think?

Which track, and which car/driver combo gets the better launch?

I'd reckon whoever gets off the line better will stay ahead anywhere except Silverstone, Snetterton or Thruxton, where the Silvia has a chance of getting ahead on a straight.

Assuming similar drivers, well in front. The 200SX has more power, weighs 100kg less than the Octy and being RWD, will be able to put power down from the start better and get on the power earlier coming out of corners.

Laptimes are normally fast laps.

My moneys on the 1.4's everytime. ;)

my dad used to have one that i borrowed whenever i went home......twas a lovely car, plenty of power, full leather, very sleek but an absolute biatch on the twisties near Ullapool and even worse in the wet!!.....nearly came a croppy a few times!!......but all in all a very nice car:)

That's what I was thinking of; drifters do not have a reputation for selecting cars with neutral or understeery power-on characteristics!

I very nearly bought a 200SX touring, but managed to swing the Octy through work, and in my situation, a massive boot and 40-odd to the gallon was the logical choice . . . . that said, given the choice again I know what I'd choose, regardless of logic. :D

erm, well i know i've been in cam's and i know i've been in wayne's silvia, which is the same.....

HTH :D
