2 eBay CAI's. Which one?

Just the one question now then, where does the CAI get its air from, looking where it goes (under the light) i cannot see how it would get much?

(sorry have to ask the dumb questions so other people dont have to :))

On a VRS there is already a vent in that place. On an Elegance / 4x4 you will have to cut the black bumper insert to match the one on the other side that lets the intercooler breathe.

Sorry, on the VRS there is a vent under the light for air to get there?

As you look at the front of the car, you will see several black grills in the bumper. The one on the left vents the intercooler, the large one in the middle is for the rads and the one on the right is where the CAI filter will be.

Just had a look on the car, the one on the right is sealed off, only 4 of the diamonds are out.

Is there an easy way to take this out without wrecking the bumper?

If you cant see the filter when fitted then you'll need to drill/cut to suit.

Its not rocket science ;)

Have to say, think it sounds great with a CAI on, keep driving round with a smile on my face, people must think im mad :P

Mind you, it doesnt sound as loud as i expected, which is cool

On a side note.

Heres the front grill, as you can see, there are only 4 small diamonds for the air to get in.

Is it right that this just pulls out to allow you to drill?

And is it worth taking the bumper off to swivel round the horn and put some sort of breathable cloth behind this to protect the filter a bit more?

Cheers
