E mail from dealer tonight that they are expecting car in next week and what day the following week would I like to do handover

I would like to think so even if a very slow journey given weight i would expect it to have been at port checked in by yesterday. I am in northern ireland so it still has another ferry journey to get here

At least there're 8 ferries a day from Cairnryan depending on whether they go to Belfast or Larne. Maybe they could drop mine off a Dumfries on the was past 😄

Any thoughts from people that had road tests over the weekend?

Had a test drive on Friday, really impressed. Quicker and quieter, seems much more refined, better ride, and similar size to e-niro.We signed up for an 85 in Graphite grey with the advanced pack and are trading in our e-niro. Taken the 6.9% pcp with £3000 off the list price. (Asked and confirmed there are no penalties for early payment if done within 14days).

Given an expected delivery time of 10-12weeks as it has to be a factory order, none available in stock. Plenty of low specs or with Maxx packs available now.

The dealer signed 3 people up for Elroqs while we were there!

Had a bit of a curved ball today, ford dealer which I had previously visited to look at the explorer came back with a very similar price to the Elroq with a 5 year service plan, immediate deliver so would miss the luxury car tax

Things over and above the Elroq is all leather (fake) electric tailgate matrix headlights and electric drivers seat

Wish he had not served me such a curved ball

Looking back through previous quotes, you said the Explorer made your neck ache. There's minimal service on EV's, especialy with drum brakes on the rear (supposedly sealed for life), so I guess, not that valuable and fake leather is actually fake. But, all that said, it does seem that they've offered you a good deal. It's unfortunate timing for you really. Had you have known that your car would be available the week after next, you could have added some goodies. I guess it's down to what you're happy to live with for the next however many years. Good luck with that decision.

Bring back my Hillman Minx,where the only extra I wanted was the starting handle!! And heated rear windscreens came from Halfords as a DIY fit

Really liked the car. The one in the showroom was in the colour I’ve ordered (race blue) and I really liked it. Faster than expected and the GOM was showing good levels of efficiency. Overall happy with my order

Just had a call from my dealer. Picking mine up on Thursday! Can't wait.

Any more news on your delivery date TAP? I'm still waiting but I was confident I'd get a call from the dealer today......I didn't.

Still at port...have listed my current car in an online auction today so i hope i get the timing right! I can specify pick up time ..i think 2-4 weeks if car sells so not too bad that way.

There's still time to get yours before 1 Apr. Got the call this morning from the dealer. I'm collecting the car on Saturday. I'm quite excited!

Excellent..has it arrived at dealers or they are expecting car delivered on Saturday..i presume it has already landed as they need a couple of days to check it over etc.

Anyone any thoughts on dashcam? i have a 70mai A500 pro plus micro usb to usb a connection but i think the Elroq only has USB-C ports, if i buy a new cable micro usb to usb-c that should work? Hoping the dashcam can work via usb-c..I prefer not to have my dashcams hard wired personally so hoping it is easy enough to hide cable etc. Spoiled in my MG had a usb connection in rear view mirror.

It has already arrived at the dealers so they're preparing it for handover.

How long did it take from build week for dealer to give you a delivery date. Mine is confirmed build week 13

Test drove an Edition 85 at the weekend and was very impressed with the way it drove. And range fully charged implied more than quoted on the website 🤣

Edition was good but looking forward to my one with Maxx pack etc being delivered

No firm delivery date just yet but they are pumping out 600 a day which is impressive and wise given the demand seems strong. What did your fully charged test drive Elroq show? 370 miles?

It was showing 391 but that dropped after driving around and temp was 12 so feeling quite optimistic on quoted ranges
