Heated side mirrors

Featured Replies

For my phev kodiaq, i have noticed that the side mirrors are not heated while having the car in eco or individual driving modes (no matter how the individual driving mode is configured) and the knob from the driver door is rotated on the correct position. In the manual i didn't find anything about this. Is the same for you guys too? The side mirrors are not heated up in the eco or individual driving mode (although the knob is put in the hearing position)?

According to the screen displaying the electronic usage the heated mirrors don't turn off when using eco mode.

Maybe, but for sure are not turned on when switching to eco or individual driving mode (in my case).

This is the case on mine too. I had been driving in Eco mode for the first few weeks and took the car to the dealer complaining the wing mirrors were faulty. After they confirmed they were working but didn’t change the driving mode it dawned on me (but the dealership weren’t aware). With the issue of the map not loading on the dashboard I have been left underwhelmed so far by the car (this is my first ŠKODA).

I’ve noticed that my side mirrors sometimes heat up and sometimes don’t. I usually drive in Eco mode, and based on what others have shared, my issue might also be related to that setting. From my experience, the mirrors seem to work when it’s cold—though I haven’t had many truly cold days yet. I get the impression that they activate when the snowflake icon appears on the screen. So, it’s probably connected to Eco mode. I’ll try switching to Normal mode and see if that makes a difference.

I have a 2025 Skoda Kodiaq Sportline. I can confirm that door mirror heating is not available in eco mode but works perfectly in all other modes.

It seems that after that big software update, indeed, the mirrors heating is working on all driving modes, except eco mode. Previously it didn't worked on eco and individual modes. But I still think that this should have been described in the user/owner manuals. The dealerships had no info on this matter whatsoever...

The logic is that eco means you save as much as possible, and since heating means consumption...

I am not sure if this applies to your car, but I believe that the way VAG configures the map on the VC is related to the nav - if you have the nav, it will display it on the VC (even if you use Waze/GMaps), while if you don't have the nav, the maps will stay on infotainment screen only. I had a 2024 VW Tiguan Allspace and this was the case. I don't like the map in the VC, but that's up to everyone to decide.

I can confirm though that on my VRS it is present in the VC, I just don't like it there.

If there is no pending sw update, it might just be a trim issue. Try addressing it to the dealer, to at least get a clear answer. Also helps trying to find videos of the same car with same trim, as the owner's manual is too generic, but it cannot be adjusted to what you buy, since you get so much flexibility.
