Rear left side window button problem

Featured Replies

2013 Fabia 1.2l 70hp.

All windows work when using the switches on the drivers door, but when using the doors own switches then one of them did not work. Theres a mechanical clicking sound when i press or pull it, but nothing actually happens.

Any tips on where to look for the fault? That clicking sound makes me think its not the switch itself theres a problem with, but could i be wrong?

Any help appreciated.

Have you taken the right side window switch and connected to left side? Does it work? At least then you know if switch is faulty or not.

I have not, but if i can't find anything else wrong i will. Thanks for the advice.

It may be the switch if it works with the drivers side the motor etc should be fine.I would as said swap or check with a meter. I bought a new one for the drivers door recently as it had failed. Probably through water when the windows been left open. The new switch makes a slight click when pressed. Not sure if there is a switch on your drivers side  to lock rear windows etc to stop kids opening them. If there is it may be the source of the problem.

Im thinking the same now. That switch isnt needed, so will order the parts and replace it. Likely going to happen late summer, around when service is due.
