Reset Oil Change Service

Featured Replies

My 2024 Karoq is displaying the Oil Change Service Due message but my leasing company does not pay for the first year's oil change. My garage tried to reset the message but the mechanic couldn't remember the correct procedure. He suggested I look on YouTube!!

Can anyone help with the procedure please? The videos I have seen all show using the Range display as how to action the reset. On the 2024 model it does not seem to have the range option as it is permanently displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Welcome.

To keep the Car owned by the Lease Companies Service History a Main Dealership should reset it since the Supplying Dealership changed it from Variable / Flexible servicing at the PDI to Fixed Oil & Filter regimes.

If you were just at a Garage or even a dealership then really the Tech should know how to use the equipment or leave the car well alone.

Was it actually a Motor Mechanic and not a VW Group trained Technician?

It was actually at the garage that supplied and service the vehicle!

They need to get the Master Tech doing it, and changing the Service Record as the car is not getting a Oil Service.

Or if they changed it without permission before hand over they can pay for the Oil Change, for being chancers.

Both my previous Octavia, and current Karoq, came with variable service setting.  Called in for first service when year old, and service reminder reset to annual, with no difficulty. Bit of a con, as two services on variable would have covered the 3 year deal, but ended up with three services, paying for last on. Pre paid in Octavia, but free with Karoq HP deal.
