You're probably better off finding if there's someone in your area that could do it - doesn't have to be a Superb, any model with MIB2.5 probably has the same systems.

Try the Audio, Electronics and Security Forum as there are the Map Update threads there so you could find someone in your area...

I would rather just find some one on here with the knowhow to just copy it to a stick.

I can write a detailed step by step if you like?

My profession is IT so I always write guides for things for various abilities.

Whats the make and model of your pc/laptop and is it Windows?

Thanks it’s a windows laptop, but please make it idiot proof, as if I’m a 5 year old and knows nothing about anything.

Ooh, I'll follow this one too.. Up to date maps would be super handy to get more accurate speed limits. How often do they tend to update them?

Just checked .. current versions are:

Firmware v0702 Current Map 0153 ECE

Can you find the model number? Usually under the bottom

If it has an SD card slot then I won’t need to go that in detail

Does your current SD card look like the top one

Yes like the top one, it’s was the original Škoda one, or I could use a stick.

I have an adapter already.

Oh great stuff, plug the Skoda SD card into the adaptor then plug into your laptop

Go to Computer and you’ll see the SD card there, can you see what size it is? Should say below the card in Computer, if not right click the card and click on properties then let me know the size, hopefully it’s around 32GB

It says 14.8 GB free

I’ve found a 512 GB micro card free in my drawer

Where you saw it has 14.8GB free, it should say something like 14.8GB free of XXGB

It’ll say total size when you right click and select properties, you can take a picture from your phone and upload it here.

Tomorrow I’ll make the guide for you

Here’s an example

Is this too small, or should I use the 512.

Ah so the Skoda card is no good.

512GB will be too big to format (completely wipe) to change it to FAT32 like Skoda asks for however the drive I use is formatted to NTFS which always works so we can certainly try it.

If the above makes no sense don’t worry.

Please makes sure whatever is on your 512GB card is copied somewhere as tomorrow you’ll be completely wiping it and lose anything on it.

In the meantime go to your car tomorrow and look at the windscreen bottom right you’ll see your vin number, write this down or take a photo of it (don’t post it here, no need) but you’ll need this tomorrow

Depending on my workload tomorrow at work I will write the guide at some point

Yes I have a copy of it.

Hello, just to confirm that you have an adaptor to put your microsd card into one of these (top of picture)

I’m guessing your 512GB micro SD is like the bottom one, but you’ll need to insert that into the top picture

I think that's an Amundsen unit which means you have to use a Skoda SD card.
