Last night on the way out of town I had a DB9 behind me he followed me onto the A5 slip road and pulled out to overtake.

Naturally, I nailed it, but so did he :(

The noise was amazing, almost like a classic American muscle car but at higher revs.

I want one.

My neighbours just bought a V8 Vantage, that sounds menacing.

Oh, it could have been one of those - I assumed it was a DB9.

It had long slits with LED rear lights etc.

The V8 Vantage was up for an award on top gear for one of the best sounding cars (I don't think it won but was a worthy contender) you could hear it menacing down some country lanes almost 2 miles away....

I remember seeing it on TG in the fog on the Isle of Man. I remember the noise too and it was very similar.

What does the DB9 have under the bonnet?

6.0 ltr V12 on the DB9

I've done a Google image search and I now think it could have been the V8 Vantage. Possibly......... but I remember the rear lights being more "slitty" than the photo I found.
