grr dealer taking extracting the urin!!

Featured Replies

Its been nearly 3 months for them to order a Heated seat pad thingy for the drivers side, and a electric window switch for the front passenger side ( i asked when i 1st bought the car in december!!! )....i rung them up today to check up on it and they have 1 switch.

i rang them up a few weeks back yes, yes they've been ordered ok...wait for a phone call & no one phones!! so i tried again no still not in.... Now really they've told me that the heated seat things are ordered in 30's and there all different depending on the year and trim of the car - surely they wouldnt be different being a fabia same seat - same foam etc.

there nice people but i dont like the way there bull$hitting all the time, or if they arnt how can it take so looong!!. i dont kno if i should complain but if i do, that wil just cause friction. i've known the dealer for years now and we have bought 3cars off them

any advice would be nice, thanks

Dealers only continue to treat customers bad, because customers let them.

Give em hell.

My local dealer replaced the driver's seated heat pads in 3 days (which included ordering the parts!). Sounds like you need to kick some butt :D

thing is when i told them it was in warrenty - and now i dont know where i stand they said they ordered it - and well does that mean because they said they have ordered it i still have the right to get it done:confused:

Did you get anything in writing to say it was a condition of the sale or that you logged it before the warranty ended? If they did order it back then, you shouldn't have a problem, but if not, you may have a hard time proving it :(

well i've got to extend my warrenty anyway because im going to uni and if anything does go wrong ill be ok for repairs etc... i noted all the things when i got the car that needed doing. but i dont think that that wil be enough evidence - most of them knew. ill see what they say on monday 1 trip to get a little switch fixed:mad:

Also be sure to check what the extended warranty covers as over 60k a lot of warranties have a long list of exclusions! :( If it does cover the heated seats (and them needing replacing is not a wear and tear item) then you could get them fixed at another dealer :D
