Karoq: Adblue range missing in dashboard. Is it possible to code it?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I started doing some hobby coding for my friends and me. While playing with a friend's Kodiaq, I noticed something that I do not have. We have the same MIB versions, software, etc. He has adblue range in a dashboard that is missing on my side, and I would like to have it if possible. This is the functionality I am talking about:

My Karoq is MY2020 (07/2020 series), and the manual states this:

Is it possible to have that coded, and if so, does anyone have some instructions on where to find it? I couldn't find it anywhere in the Long Coding nor instructions anywhere on the internet.

Not sure on these newer ones but on the older ones you can enable/disable things you wanted with the infotainment system, like range, average speed, average fuel consumption etc.

It would be strange if they kicked this functionality out, but as mentioned friend of mine with the same MY has it. There is no option to choose it in the infotament.

You could try resetting the infotainment to the factory settings to see if that brings it back. Not the whole unit, just that section.

I have found this in VDCS forum

Address 5F: Information Electr.

IDE04300-ENG126152-Vehicle menu operation-menu_display_Adblue
IDE04300-ENG126153-Vehicle menu operation-menu_display_Adblue_over_threshold_high

But seems I can not find those with long coding with OBDeleven.

That looks like an adaptation channel name, try searching for "adblue" in the list of adaptations for the 5F module.

I've had no luck. There is nothing AdBlue-related there. Well, it seems like I will be stuck on this until someone comes up with a solution, if possible at all.

I have to ask, it is definitely a diesel, right?

Older model 4x4 diesels didn't have adblue, not sure if this is the same now.

It's diesel, definitely, MY 2020. And yes, I have an AdBlue tank that I was filling by the feeling last ~15k km since I got the car.

Have you had any low adblue message pop up on the dash before? Maybe that would help it to show the appropriate screen afterwards. (Just guessing)

It was the day I was buying a car. It was just a yellow lamp and notification to top up. According to mechanic advice, it's never a good idea to let it reach low levels due to possible issues, hence the refining.

According to this thread https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/476048-adblue-remaining-range/#findComment-5473154 it is there in the Driving data. You just need to scroll to find it...

It isn't there. I know every single setting in both dashboard and infotament, I would find it by now. Especially since I was coding in Fuel Reful Quantity.
