Good that you have Service Books in Sweden.

I never even looked at you profile to see where you were or good a clue from the 3 crowns. That is my bad.

you've never had any damper "misting" then?

NO.

Euphemism for beginning to leak, I think. 😉

fuel filter

Is it in the fuel tank?

added second part.

There will be a mesh screen type of thing in the "pump in tank" assembly, that seems to be good enough with the quality of modern fuels in this general region of the world.

In this case more of an excuse for poor quality parts, spotted at only 100 months old too but mot considered good enough reason for under warranty replacement by the VWŠkoda Dealership that fitted them, funny (not!) that, obviously still misting 12 months later, which explains the short life of the factory fitted part - not "Clever". Why replace with the same, not "Clever" again.

The fuel filter confused me too, typo, mistake, mistype perhaps.

Inside the fuel tank before the fuel pump you have a 'mesh screen' filter which has 30 micron filtration rate.
Outside the fuel tank after the fuel pump you have combined inline fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator which has 10 Micron filtration rate.
( It is this Outside fuel filter that is regularly changed in accordance to the VAG-service plan. )

I don’t think modern VW Group cars have a replaceable fuel filter after the low pressure lift pump - on petrol engines, now.

Edit:- in fact, at least on my wife's August 2015 VW Polo 1.2TSI 110PS, there is no filter where that item used to be located - just in front of the RHS rear wheel.

In UK at least I've not seen fuel filter as part of any VWŠkoda "service" or "maintenance", the Dealerships would be more than happy to have the revenue and profit for parts and labour if it was part of any schedule, and if it wasn't, but it's never been mentioned to my wife, plenty of other premature and unnecessary (and expensive) work has been mentioned though.
