After disconnecting and removing the lock from the driver's side rear door, I get the message "electrical child safety lock fault" every time I turn on the ignition. However, no errors related to this appear in CarScanner or Carista. The central locking and the child safety lock work properly [except lightning of its button on driver's door].

Can anyone advise how to reset this without visiting an authorized service center? My rear door module number is 5Q4959595F [according to ETKA online]. Not sure about software version but suppose it's 0246 [the same in front doors].

Found a guy with OBD11 [guessing the newest version]. He connected to my car and had rear door modules in the app [CarScanner or Carista don't have these - only front door modules]. Deleted faults and now everything works fine.

Just being nosy, but what was faulty about the rear lock that required you to remove it?

Stopped locking door randomly. Got used one to replace it but ordered unsuitable, which I sent back. Having it on a table got it clean and greased with silicone spray. Now it's working fine but tests with unsuitable lock generated faults.
