[HELP] Octavia Mk4 (2024) – SkodaID login & S-PIN not working anymore + can't reset infotainment

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I’m having a frustrating issue with my 2024 Octavia MK4 (with the 13″ navigation infotainment system), and I hope someone here can help or at least share if they experienced something similar.

What’s going on:

  • For the past 3 days, the car no longer accepts my S-PIN, even though it's 100% correct.

  • The Skoda Connect app no longer shows the vehicle online, so I can't access remote services.

  • I tried a factory reset on the infotainment system, but I get the error:
“It was not possible to reset the infotainment to factory settings”, even though it seems to partially reset.

  • I even removed the car from the MySkoda app and tried to set it up again in the car – but it fails with:
“Login with your Skoda ID is currently not possible. Please try again later.”

  • I attempted to connect the car to my phone's Wi-Fi hotspot, in case the built-in eSIM was having connection issues, but still no luck.

Infotainment details:

  • Device part number: 57H035816B

  • Hardware: H10

  • Software version: 2630

  • Display unit HW: H23, SW: 266

  • Navigation database: 25.5

  • Radio DB: 1.31.52

  • Media codecs: 3.1.4

My questions to the community:

  1. Has anyone experienced this kind of issue with the MK4 infotainment or user profile system?

  2. Is there a known fix for failed logins and S-PIN problems like this?

  3. Any advice on a hard infotainment reset (even involving fuse pulling, hidden menus, etc)?

  4. Could it be an eSIM fault, or just Skoda’s servers acting up again?

At the moment, I'm stuck using the car only in Guest Mode, with no remote features and no full control over my user profile.

Any help, advice, or shared experiences would be massively appreciated. I’m trying everything before bothering my dealer again 😅

Thanks in advance!

Not familiar with FL cars too much, but yeah, pulling fuse for infotainment would be first thing I'd try. Check in car manual fuse diagram, on pre-FL it is fuse 30 for infotainment and 19 for communications module, which may be at fault here.

I know nothing because my car is coming in July, but I work in IT trouble shooting... I notice you haven't mentioned anything about the before bit eg. geography change. Is it the same routine you did every morning etc...etc... and then this happened

Tomorrow, before doing anything else, I might stop by the official Skoda service center and see what they say.

Maybe it’s just a software update that needs to be installed (fingers crossed 🤞🏻)

Yes, just my usual daily routine — no changes or weird modifications at all.

Everything was already set up through the Skoda app on my iPhone.

Sometimes I would unlock and lock the car directly from the phone, then just use CarPlay or occasionally the built-in navigation.

Then suddenly, last Thursday, it stopped accepting my S-PIN, so I had to start using the car in Guest Mode, thinking it was just a temporary server issue.
