No.

Do any Skoda engines have a wetbelt?

I think so - on the oil pumps at least.

This 2024 BRISKODA forum thread suggests that some SKODA cars have had a 'wet' timing-belt (a 2013 Fabia 1.6 TDI model is referred to).

Fabia Mk 4 cars definitely DO NOT have a 'wet' timing-belt.

  • Neither does the Mk 3 Fabia or Octavia. I'd also very much doubt if a 2013 1.6TDI Fabia had one either.

Pretty certain there are no wet cambelts and only a couple of diesels have a very small wet oil pump belt. As far as I'm aware the latter hasn't been reported as having regular issues.

And VWŠkoda UK no longer con their UK customers by having the unnecessary (dry) cam belt change interval at 5 years / 50k-miles. - CamBeltchangechange.pdf
