Retrofit OEM LED Lights Octavia 5E Facelift

Featured Replies

I'm starting the next retrofit project.

This time it's the Octavia Mk3 facelift again.

This time, we're converting to LED headlights. I'm intentionally not listing the part number because I have L0L as my PR code, meaning it's for right-hand traffic.

What's needed:

Left headlight with LED control unit

Right headlight with LED control unit

Multifunctional control unit (4B)

Axle level sensor rear axle

Wiring harness

I also need:

Front bumper with headlight washer system

Hose for the headlight washer system

Container for headlight washer fluid

How do I approach this issue:

- Removing the entire old bumper

- Removing the headlights

- Removing the old washer fluid container

- Installing the wiring harness from the headlights to the bulkhead and controlling the headlight washer system

- Then I roughly installed and secured the LED headlights.

The wiring harness consists of the left headlight, right headlight, rear axle level sensor, and the 4B control unit.

The wiring harnesses are routed in a slotted corrugated tube for protection.

The projekt start was 11.06.25

What's the situation today? The headlights are already wired correctly. Then the old bumper was completely disassembled, and the parts were installed on the new one with the headlight cleaning system. Today, the bumper was test-fitted and connected. The error log was erased, and except for the message that the axle sensor is faulty,

The other major issue in this project is coding. The following control units are affected: 09, 17, 19, 4B, D6 & D7. I personally have OBD11, as well as VCP, VCDs, ODIS, and VC Tool at my disposal... I'll provide details once the project is complete.
