Fabia 2021 + Amundsen SatNav - Reverse Camera Upgrade Possible?

Ha! I wish we'd crossed paths on here a few weeks back as it could've saved me a lot of head scratching and hours searching for the correct parts. :(

I ended up buying new (old stock) OEM Skoda unit from eBay for £95 and then the loom from Poland was another £50.

With all the additional bits to make the washer jet work, it's looking like another £75 if I get the OEM hose.

It's getting more expensive than I originally thought it would! :(

Do you have a link for the exact Ali-Express hose you purchased?

Also, I don't have VCDS/OBD11/VAGcom yet, so will have to figure that in and see what is the best/cheapest option there.

Probably a second hand "Unlimited VCDS" which I can sell on if not needed in the future.

Thanks for the info!

Oh sorry!! wish I saw the forum sooner 😅

The one I bought is no longer available but this is the exact same;

It’s OEM for the windscreen washers, I didn’t care about that and just cut/snipped it to the length I needed!

If you don’t have any way of coding, check out the VCDS Map on the forum, People willing to help put their location on so you can ask them if they’re local to you! ☺️

Your page says you’re from West cumbria though? im south cumbria, so if you need a hand give us a shout 👍

But easy to install and pull all cables. trunk door took most time a wire i pulled through after removeing window heater did the trick.

I did actually try this camera once before, Was an easy install given the custom harness and wire (although, very little space behind the headunit for it to fit).

But I found that for some reason it prevented my USB for apple carplay from working. Did this happen to you?

Everything works great for me. For carplay i use Carlinkit ambient box. Because i like watching youtube and news channels. i got 2 other adapters behind the radio. High low converter and so. But it was the cable trough trunk door that took most time. if the 2 amp fuse goes again i have a lot more it takes 5 min to switch

Ahhh im glad it worked for you! Maybe I got a dodgy harness. I also have a hi-lo behind the unit but just about managed to squeeze in the harness.

I’m glad I fit the OEM camera though, as the built in washer is very handy in the winter months
