I was replacing the wishbone on my Skoda mark 1 but the swivel bolt going into the Aluminium console has cross threaded. I am replacing the console and need to drive the car half a mine but can't get the swivel bolt in. Can i drive the car ashort distance or do i need to put a temporary bolt in where the swivel bolt should be? thanks.

Not sure but perhaps a temp bolt would be a good idea. Personally I wouldnt as not sure if it would cause any further damage or put strain on other items plus if anything happened on road I reckon you would be liable for something and if your insurance found out I doubt they would be very happy. You might get away with threaded rod and a couple of nylocks.
