Front Wheel Camber, is it adjustable?

Featured Replies

I have very uneven wear on the inner edge of the front tyres of my 19 plate Sportline 4x4 2.0d (see pictures). The wear was flagged up at the last service in March, I had the tracking checked and adjusted (was slightly off). Wear is worse on driver's side. Yokohama tyres. Is the camber on these cars: A)Adjustable. B)Prone to 'drift'

Driver's Side clearly in need of replacement.🫩

When I had a Mercedes certain models were notorious for irregular front wheel tyre wear and pulling to the left.

Can I suggest that you really need a specialist company such as Wheels in Motion so sort out the problem.

I aways had my Mercedes 4 wheel tracked annually at a specialist in Worcester.

Good luck

Was that 4 wheel tracking or just the fronts?

The Superb is renown for uneven tyre wear but it's usually the back wheels that cause a problem.

Mine chewed through two sets before I got it 4 wheel tracked and had all offsets brought back into spec. Since then it's been perfect.

No issues with my Superb and my friend has two superb and again no issues.

Not sure if chamber is adjustable

Both Camber & Castor is adjustable on the front.

Only Camber is adjustable on the rear.

Toe should also be adjustable on the rear so as to bring offset correct. Get one toeing out and one in and car will crab

The difficulty will be finding someone willing to make the adjustment, as it involves loosening the front subframe and smacking it with a hammer to even up camber between the 2 sides. Most alignment shops simply aren't interested in that level of effort.
