New Owner

Featured Replies

Hi all - just swapped my Octavia vRS TDI for a 2025 85x Sportline and I just thought I'd share a few thoughts after a couple of weeks as a new owner…

Suspension - I thought the Octavia was a hard ride but I'm surprised how hard the Enyaq is, especially from the rear when travelling over poor road surfaces. I guess this is because of the weight of the battery running down the length of the car?

Lane assist button on RHS of steering wheel - does this actually do anything as every time I press it I get the message 'Please use main switch' - I am aware it can be turned off via the infotainment screen but is there something I need to do in order to make this switch work?

Horn - Sounds extremely petty but today I used the horn for the first time and despite this car being the most technologically advanced vehicle I have ever driven, the horn has been downgraded to a single tone so it sounds like my first ever car which was a 1983 Golf Mk I - Is this standard now across all Enyaqs? Every car I have owned since 1993 has been dual tone so why would Skoda change this on their flagship model?

Infotainment Screen - Last week I got the dreaded scrolling screen of death which after speaking with my dealer, appears to be a common issue but also an issue that currently cannot be fixed, or that what I have read on other forums. Thankfully it cleared after the car had sat idle for an hour or so but its booked in at my local dealer for a check up in a couple weeks time.

Despite these niggles, so far I'm pretty impressed, range is between 3.5 - 4 miles per kWh and my fuel bill is roughly £5 per week as opposed to £30 per week in the vRS.

Any feedback regarding my points above would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Have you reset the tyres pressures? Did they come over inflated.

Best check the Transport Blocks have been removed.

Horn is rubbish - it's all about weight saving no doubt!
