I have an issue connecting my phone to Bluetooth. It may be a coding issue.

There might be different reasons:

1. Coding issue. Do you have any diagnostics tool to check coding and adaptations?

2. Software issue. Pls go to service menu (long press MENU button) then see FEC/SWaP codes and post a list of installed and valid codes. If you don't see menu item for FEC/SWaP codes then you need to enable developer menu in adaptation of 5F unit. Also pls post part number and current SW version (menu SETUP then SYSTEM INFORMATION) - your unit might require software update.

3. Hardware issue. If coding is OK, unit has current SW version and FEC/SWaP code for Bluetooth (00050000) is installed and valid then probably Bluetooth module inside your infotainment unit is broken.

Have you got Bluetooth turned ON in your phone as if not car wont find it Had similar in a VW and just a mater of telling each other to look for it or tell phone to look for car

Thank you for trying to help I have figured out that the FEC/SWAP codes are not installed properly, including the code for Bluetooth. This is because my infotainment unit failed and the unit I installed has component protection removed but the codes in it are still showing the VIN the unit came out of, not my VIN.

I'm getting Skoda to get me a new glovebox unit. Not cheap but everything in my car will work again.

Hey, just joined this forum trying to figure out a similar issue. I just bought a SE L Fabia 2015 and I cant seem to get the bluetooth nor phone functions working. Shows the same error "phone not currently available", Ive updated to 0138 and nothing changed. BT audio is available as an option in media but bluetooth and can be selected saying "bluetooth audio is disconnected but is missing from the setup menu. It also shows an U11B800 error on my diagnostic tool.
