Hi everyone,

I recently got a 2025 Skoda Kodiaq Business and I’m having trouble with the Virtual Pedal (a.k.a. Easy Open) feature.

As far as I know, this option should allow me to open the tailgate by moving my foot under the rear bumper. However, I can’t find any “Easy Open” setting in the menu to activate it.

👉 Does anyone know if:

• this feature is actually available on the 2025 Business trim?

• it needs to be enabled through hidden settings / coding (OBD, VCDS, OBDeleven)?

• or if it has to be activated by the dealer?

I'm UK based and have never heard of business trim.

I am in Morocco, here we have 4 versions: Selection, corporate, Business and sport line. I have the 3rd version which is the business, on the brochure and on the car manual we find that virtual pedal is available on this version you just have to activate easy open, the problem is that I can't find this option to check it.

I think you should ask the dealer about this, does it appear on the spec list that you received from him? This option is usually part of a optional package, here in Europe.

Yes, the option appears on the sheet provided by the dealer.

Just be careful when loading the car and don't stand too close to it. My tailgate was closing on my head every time I loaded/unloaded when camping. Dangerous and annoying, so I turned off Easy Open. Shame you can't just disable the closing and enable opening only. Yet another useless gimmick on thia otherwise great car.

I understand your point, In my case though, I just wanted to at least test the feature, since it’s clearly mentioned in the dealer’s catalog I received before buying the car.

If the option to select it isn't there on the infotainment screen I'd suggest your car doesn't have that option fitted.

As far as I know, the virtual pedal is an additional option. The SEL in the UK comes with electric tailgate but not virtual pedal. Perhaps your Business spec doesn’t have the electric tailgate as standard?

The sheet in you photo appears to be a brochure type page which shows various options.

Does your car have a panoramic sunroof?

Yes, my Business spec has an electric tailgate and a panoramic roof. All the options listed in the brochure actually exist, except for the virtual pedal.

Take it up to the dealer then, it is clearly stated in the brochure you added here.
