I have a Škoda Kamiq 2024 facelift, built after May 2024, with the NI7 infotainment system (MIB3, supports SmartLink).

I asked my dealer about SmartLink, and they told me the SWaP keys haven’t been released and they can't activate it yet. I also noticed that on the Škoda e-shop, the SmartLink activation kit isn’t listed as compatible with cars produced after CW 05/2024 with NI7/NI8.

A couple of questions I’m hoping other owners might know more about:

1. Has anyone here managed to get SmartLink officially activated on a Kamiq 2024 facelift (NI7)?

2. Do you know if Škoda plans to release the SWaP keys later on, or are these cars permanently blocked from official SmartLink activation?

3. Has your dealer given you any timeline or updates?

I’ve heard of some independent specialists offering activation for around 500–600€, but I’d prefer to go the official route if possible.

Any experiences or updates would be really helpful.

I think you have answered your own question in your first paragraph. If it's not in the Skoda e-shop then it's not available. Skoda would not miss the chance to make a little money if they could.

Must be region/ model specific as my 2024 UK Monte Carlo has Apple car play connectivity.

Yeah, my car is a 2024 Kamiq - Comfort edition (post-May, NI7) and it doesn’t have CarPlay integrated automatically. It needs activation, but the dealer told me it can’t be done yet because these SWaP keys aren’t available.

Yeah, I get that now — what I’m really trying to find out is when are they’re going to make these SWaP keys available for the NI7 units for kamiq,scala and fabia.
