Cam chain replacement weird value in vcds

Featured Replies

Car: Skoda Octavia VRS Mk2, BWA engine (EA113, 2.0 TFSI.)

Work done:

I recently replaced the camshaft chain, tensioner, and camshaft adjuster (using proper camshaft locking tools).

Current situation:

The camshaft adjuster itself works fine.

Adaptation/basic settings complete successfully.

In live data (OBDeleven and VCDS), the specified and actual camshaft adjustment values match (around 28° KW). but it jumps quite a bit between 27° 29°

However, in measuring block 093 the phase position shows -10° KW (static), while this value should normally be near 0° KW after replacement.

Question:

Has anyone experienced this issue before?

Is it possible this is caused by software (ECU calibration/tune), or is there something I may have missed mechanically despite using the locking tools?

Anyone ideas?

Not really but wondering if you disconnect battery for a while and reboot the system. Its hopefully a glitch somewhere that should clear once ecu is reset.
