Infotainment constant reboots

Featured Replies

My infotainment system keeps randomly rebooting and sometimes I’m unable to use any functions like sports mode and Bluetooth etc, because it thinks the keys aren’t in the ignition. I did have the same issue a year ago when my alternator was on its was out. It’s been fine for a year so and now it’s started again. I’ve had the battery and alternator tested today, both working fine.

I’ve contacted main dealer and it’s £120 to do software update that may not even fix? Am I able to update myself with usb or sd card? I can only see maps and radio logos on Skodas website.

Update SW0480

Thank you for speedy response Cairus. Where do I download Update SW0480? Is there a tutorial somewhere?

Cairus was kind enough to send me the update, but I’ve loaded it onto a fat32 formatted usb stick and put in the usb slot and try to update, usb option is greyed out? I know the usb slots works fine with car play etc.

Any ideas how to get this working? System is constantly rebooting now 👎🏻

Copy it to an SD card, directly in the root directory, i.e., at the top of the screen. Then open the service menu, press the setup button until a menu opens, and then click on update. The rest should be self-explanatory.

I have 2 laptops, one with windows 10 and one with windows 11. I’ve tried both because I needed an sd card adapter for the newer laptop. I must be doing something wrong?

It worked! I did try it this way before with normal usb and it didn’t work. I haven’t done the full update yet, but it seems to be working fine. How long does it take? Many thanks!
