Bluetooth won't turn on / Skoda Connect deactivated?

Featured Replies

My 9 month old Kamiq, new to me this week has a problem. Bluetooth will not turn on. I also tried the skoda connect button (with spanner symbol) and it says it has been deactivated/ is not available. Can anyone tell me what's going on? thanks in advance

Bluetooth is SwaP/FeC

Something Strange...

It seems it needed me to complete the registration process. I'm struggling, as I've entered the code it provided into the infotainment system and it won't progress any further. It also won't let me come out of it to start again. Very frustrating

Sorted thanks, I needed to complete registration, which it has now done.

🤔

Yes, to use the car infotainment (well most of it) now you must "register" as the user. This means you need the Skoda App.

If the car has a previous "registration" I think the dealer has to cancel it.

Skoda seem to have their system set up as discoverable (this is minimum privacy the way Volkswagen describe it.) But either way the tiny globe must not be greyed out and if you have the "man in a hat" symbol this must not show maximum privacy.

My dealer advised me to set the app up 24 hours before I collected the car. This way registration proceeds quickly. If you try to register and then link to the car at the same time it can take a while.
