Hi Everyone,

I’m planning to upgrade the front brake setup on my 2003 1.8T AUM to bigger discs — possibly the 312mm setup.
Currently, the car probably has 280 or 288, will check it.

Can I keep my existing calipers, or do I need to replace them (or just the carriers) to fit the 312mm discs?
Also, any recommendations for good quality discs and pads to go with the upgrade would be great.

I’d upgraded to the VRS 312s.

I’ve just put on some Mtec Disks and pads for the VRS. And see alright for the price.

Easy check, are the current callipers marked "FS III" (280mm) or "DS 3" (288mm or larger)?
