I have a 1.4 16v Comfort Fabia and i was wondering about the options for big brakes such as 312mm brake kits. Are they bolt on?

You will need VRS hubs

Afraid not, I ended up fitting performance discs and pads to my 256's which were an improvement but not a patch on the 288's fitted to my 2.0 or the VRS.

 

As stated you'll need to replace the the hub carriers which means for all practical purposes you need complete struts from a VRS.

Are Ibiza FR hubs compatible (and Ibiza Sport, I guess)?

FR will fit 312 but i don't know for certain they will fit your car. Seems likely they will but i don't know for sure

 

Sport prefacelift (with 288mm) will be same as FR (it is what became the FR)

 

Facelift sport is different and can't take 312 (atleast not the audi TT or octavia VRS ones)

Yes they are the same as the one from vRS. And they do fit 312 from Golf Mk4 platform.
