hi guys,

 

looking to upgrade the brakes on my 2007 vrs octavia estate and ive recently heard that you can put the s3 brakes on the octavia 2 vrs. i haven't found much in on this mod so im wanting some answers lol.  

 

my questions are,

 

do they work with the standard 18 inch wheels??

 

do they need any special fitments or parts, or are they plug and play?

 

and what size are the discs on the front and back??

 

is the rear disc vented or solid?? just wondering not fundamental.

 

 

these are the type of brakes im wanting to fit, i haven't bought them yet.

Should fit fine with 18".  Possibly some slight mods needed with the flexible hoses.

 

Search for S3 onto GTI - more Golf owners have made the upgrade.  NB: They are as heavy as all get out.

IIRC, they fit fine on the prefacelift 18" Zeniths, but one member did have issues fitting them on a facelift car running the 18" Neptunes, link below:
