BBS CH Alloys

Featured Replies

Anyone know if these are available in a fitment other than 5x112? If not, are decent adaptors available, to take it down to 5x100?

And if people don't know what they are, here we go. IMO, one of THE best looking wheels ever!

Yes they're available in 5x100 as they're popular on the Golf Mk4.

Cheers for that. Bet they're rare as anything though, never seen a set in 5x100. Can't find any online places selling them in anything other than 5x112 either.

Thanks,

Steev

There was a recent thread regarding other alloys but the BBS CH cropped up along with this piccy fitted to a MkII Octy which iirc has a 5x112 offset albeit these are 19" though  . They do look good :)

New Octy are 5x112, Fabias and Mk1 Octys are 5x100.

That looks bloody awesome!

Doesn't look 'over-wheeled' either, with 19s! How big are those arches?

Steve

They do look good.

I like the BBS RC's, as fitted to the Golf Anniversary's.

APS have CH's fitted to their new R32 demo car, looks awesome.

those wheels look damn sexy on that octy!!

They do look good.

I like the BBS RC's' date=' as fitted to the Golf Anniversary's.[/quote']

I love the RC's too. One of my personal fave's and you can get them in 17" size too. Pricey though...

CH's do look good and yes, they must be available in 5x100, at least in some sizes, as a lot on the TT Forum have them albeit in 19" size.

just a tip: you can find these rims in replica as well (e.g. fk-automotive)

cheers

I'd rather not run with reps - to me, it's the real deal or not at all. But if you have an example of some, I'd be happy to see them.

Thanks,

Steve

The reasons why BBS is so expensive

1) their light-weight alloys

2) their name

The quality of BBS is superb, don't get me wrong but in my humble opinion you don't need race-quality for normal usage... my 2 cents

Anyway, I'm not a fan of replica's neither but there's a difference between replica's from a dodgy company you've never heard of and replica's from companies with TUV approval.

I know there are a couple of "reliable" manufacturers that provide this design but I can't remember all of them. The ones by http://www.fk-automotive.de:

they look sweet :)

Interesting - cheers for that. The other thing I like about BBS rims is they just look right. They also look quite OEM, maybe the result of being used on models by quite a few manufacturers. Which is a plus point in my mind, nothing too obvious. The same, but different ;)

Steve

And that's the way you should style your car!

I never understood people who install spoilers that make your car look like a chopping-cart

Well you obviously wouldn't want a car like that!

I was more getting at cars that obviously have aftermarket wheels fitted. People may well want their car to be a different from the rest, but that wouldn't be the way I'd go about it personally. Subtley different is the way to go

I like that!

The smooth euro style really does suit Skodas.

:bump:

Thought I might as well add to this thread, seeing as I started it :D

I'm still after a set of these, they just look so 'right'. They'd be adorning the upcoming Mk1 Octy vRS (hopefully) - which begs the question, and this has no doubt been asked before - which size looks best?

Want to retain some ride comfort, so I dictate that 19s and a profile of no less than 40 is acceptable really.

So, allowing for me actually finding some of the correct PCD, offset and price - 17s or 18s? And has anyone actually seen these fitted to a Mk1?

Cheers,

Steve

never seen them on a MK1 but 18's would be my personal choice... the spokes dont run right to the rim so 17's would look more like 16's.

Plus if your going to change them you might as well go up in size, even by 1 size.

I also love these styles of wheel and think they would suit the mk1 vRS perfectly

Cheers Nigel - all down to finding the right PCD and offset now
