Water in boot

Featured Replies

The Fabia is letting water into the boot.

At first it was the boot seal — water was coming over the top of the seal and into the car. I slightly bent up the lip that the boot seal sits on to bring the seal closer to the boot when it’s closed. That helped a bit, but it’s still letting water in so i put it back to how it was from factory and will try a new boot seal first if i can find one lol.

Now water is getting in through a hole just under the boot release latch/lock, (not the air vents or hole with grommets in them, it’s just above that. could be a seam that the water is getting through) and it’s filling up the spare wheel well.

Has anyone had a similar issue and what fixed it ? It’s doing my head in now

The air vents are dry, the grommets are dry. i know where the water is coming from but i can’t seem to fix it.
