Clock display

Featured Replies

Hi all. I’m new to ŠKODA and this forum. Just had a one hour drive today and for once had no music on - so I just displayed the clock. It kept flicking between the 3 types of clock display on its own and at times sort of juddered. Any ideas ?

Also had an odd electronic noise from the speech enhancement thing as I had passengers in the rear for once. So I’ve turned that off completely. It echoes a lot. Is that normal ?

In my car the clock is displayed when the infotainment unit is off, that should be the first "button" on the screen on the left side. Can it be that for some reason the unit switched off, or it did not start together with the car?

If I leave mine off, it stays off and displays only the clock. If I leave it on, then it starts with the car, takes a while to load the profile and then the menu appears.

The speech echo thing I took it off like immediately on the first trip with passengers and never reactivated since, so I cannot tell....

Yes so the infotainment was off as we were all talking. I noticed the flicker and then it self swiped from left to right to the alternative displays totally on its own. It like juddering similar to when a film gets stuck on Tv.

If it’s Columbus (no knobs, entirely touchscreen) it could be the proximity sensor is faulty hence the mystery swiping. Not sure if this would have the flicker effect.

Hi no. It’s got knobs so to speak.

I may see if it’s possible to turn the proximity sensor off - just been out and it didn’t do it once. The world has gone mad when a car is so complex nobody get what’s going on. I emailed Škoda and they didn’t know either.

I had a function in mine that was something like "gesturing don't know what" and it was making things happening like if you do not touch something but it takes the action ... I do not know how to explain it, but it was together with the echo one of the very first settings I changed and I never had issues since ....
