CBZA/CBZB oil in inlet manifold

Featured Replies

Hy,

I would like to ask for your help. I am in dilemm. I have an CBZA (1.2 TSI) engine, and I saw that there is oil in the inlet manifold (under the cooler).

I think the turbo might be the cause. The oil separator is located under the intake manifold. Why stand the oil en the inlet manifold? Don't you have to go back to the crankcase? What can I do with it?

Thank you.

The crankcase ventilation system is probably not working correctly.

There's a test you can do to check one pathway.

Find the thin rubber air hose that connects to the underside of the large air hose next to the airbox.

Disconnect it so that you can check if there is any suction on it.

Start the engine and let it run until the idle speed drops to normal, check with a fingertip if there is any suction.

Okay, thank you. Í will check it.

If there is no suction, it is a symptom of a blockage elsewhere, not a blockage of that hose or the valve at engine end of it.
