Infotainment system broken Mk3 2015

Featured Replies

My infotainment system beeps constantly and changes channels, settings on its own. System reset doesn't work. Ive tried cleaning it with alcohol, ive out blue tac on the screen to trick it into a finger so it doesn't start randomly changing settings. Has anyone replaced it themselves? Can anyone recommend a reasonably cheap replacement? I just wanna be able to listen to the radio when I drive but because of the distraction I cant!

Part number and SW version of yopur infotinment unit?

Hi, welcome.

You need to call pab567 by putting an '@' in front of his member name as you can't direct message him until you have a certain number of posts.

I will do it for you now to save time. Good luck.

@pab567 can you help please, cheers.

No problem. I can see you now have two posts and other details from your 'Author's stat' (click on drop down arrow).

Good luck.

@tvand pls post a screenshot here, I believe application on your smartphone might be outdated rather than your infotainment unit.

Hi again @pab567

Here is a screenshot from my phone (Samsung S23 Ultra) all updated.

Here you have the message in English as I don´t think that you can speek Danish )

AN ERROR OCCURRED IN ANDROID AUTO communication error 8 - The car's software failed the security check for Android Auto. Make sure the car's data and time are set correctly and that Google Play services are up to date

Just for info, pab567's location is Poland, (if it shows on a phone) click on the down arrow at the top right corner of a post to show the 'Author's stats' to see.
