Skoda Kodiaq passenger side auto-dimming rear view mirror

Featured Replies

Hi! I recently purchased a Skoda Kodiaq L&K, and noticed that there is autodimming ORVM only on the driver side (right side in my case). Is there any option to retrofit a left side auto-dimming OVRM?

Today during a very long trip I saw that I only have autodimming on the left side(LHD) so I checked the dealer configuration and yes...it's only on the driver side. After,I found your post.

Right mirror glass is 5LC857522 which is around 300 GBP
Left mirror glass is 5LB857521 which is pretty cheap , around 70 GBP

But I doubt that we have the connector, probably we would need to run a wire from the central mirror, and tbh...I wasn't really disturbed by the light from the passenger side,it's just that I know I had both mirror with autodimming on my last Superb. Also,a few years ago I had them both stolen on the Superb and they were not cheap at all...I don't mind having cheap mirror glasses after all..

Can you tell me the part number for left mirror glass for left side (LHD) driving models?

Left mirror glass from continental Europe with autodimming is 57H 857 521 which is also around 300 GBP

Hi there,

It may be worth a try, as I believe the wiring is there. Remeber that the car is produced for both left nad right hand drive, even the infotainment options are askinf for this. It would be more expensive to remove a wire during production than leave it there, even if you don't use it.

I'll get the mirrors opened and check for any wiring for electric auto dimming, will update here if I find it!
