Auto Hold

Featured Replies

I set Auto Hold to 'ON' in the vehicle braking section of the infotainment screen. All is fine for two or three days, then the next time I start the car the Auto Hold setting is disabled. I then have to go into the settings again and re enable it. What is that all about?

I know it may be different from my Karoq, but on that the auto hold is controlled from a button near the gearstick. Once activated it stays active.

In my Kodiaq Sportline if I set Auto Hold to on it remains that way until I stop driving and turn the engine off. On restarting Auto Hold is off. IMHO that is the way it was designed to work. I suggest you get the car to the supplying dealership and get it checked.

I also had the Sportline and at least my auto hold always stayed enabled. Just a shame that the f***ing AEB couldn't be permanently disabled.

Now a proud Volvo XC90 owner, in a totally different league to the death-trap Kodiaq!

I'm having the same issue along with the car jointing forward from when I accelerate when auto-hold is on.

Hi DaveSuperb. Assuming you have the DSG twin wet clutch gearbox, there a documented way to 're-learn' it on YouTube which is a bit convoluted but seems to work. Apparently it resets the gearbox to factory specification and removes your 'learned' settings.

I can’t remember if I set it up like this, but I have an autohold icon at the top of the infotainment screen.

It may be slightly different using pedals, but I use hand controls and find a very gentle pull on the accelerator ring achieves a smooth pull away.

I am assuming that being gentle with pedals does the same.
