MySkoda App

Featured Replies

So, TPMS showed loss of pressure in a tyre, inflated all tyres to correct pressure, reset the TPMS and cleared the fault shown with OBD11! But Vehicle Health Report in the MySkoda App still shows "Loss of Pressure Detected"! I deleted and reinstalled app still there😠

How far have you driven the car since you reset the tyre pressures?

I find that sometimes it can take a while for the error to clear on the app, for example refill windscreen washer bottle when I've just refilled it, drive it a few miles and the app resets the warning message on my phone.

On my previous car the the TPMS provided a psi value.

On my Skoda all I see if that the tyre is out side specification !

That’s the same as the car.

You set the pressures and then tell the car that you’ve done it.

It then uses the wheel speed sensors to determine the size of the wheel down to the pressure.

Should the pressure drop sufficiently to reduce the size of the tire the car will pick up the wheel speed differences (a deflated tyre will have a smaller diameter and therefore need to roll slightly faster) and flag a pressure drop. It’s not the app is at fault, that’s the VAG system.

Thanks Guys!

I found the mercedes app useless in that I paid for services and they vanished !

Distance door and window locking vanished.

Ring fence the car and that service vanished.

sadly none of the Skoda models come out of the box with Direct TPMS - the one that shows the actual tyre pressure.

As @travs described above, Skoda variants get the Indirect TPMS version. It uses the wheel speed sensors to compare the rotational speed between each tyre, to determine if a tyre is over/under inflated.

i retrofitted Direct TPMS to my Superb about 6 yrs ago. suppa duppa handy and i can see live tyre pressures anytime.

it's the same system used across the various VW models.

Audi uses a different Direct TPMS system, hence not compatible with Skoda variants.
