SinoSmart reversing camera

Featured Replies

I'm considering one of these, but have a few questions:

  1. Is the type A the correct one for a 2018 Superb Mk3?

  2. Does it have a washer connection?

  3. Is there anything else I need to know?

Thanks, David

Hey David,

Just fitted one to my 2018 Estate last week, ensure that yours is the fully square edged handle, if so which mine was then yes it is option A for the car.

No water connection.

Just take your time in fitting, took me around 3 hours, taking apart, fitting and then putting back together.

I ran the cable from the boot down the sill's and then that way to the glove box, the yellow connectors can be hard to push in but they do go in. I taped mine up so they didn't come apart again etc

Oh if it doesn't work after fitting it, hard reset the stereo - Hold down the power button

Hope that helps

I have one and it’s brilliant.

Similar to what Tom has said above.

Be careful running the cable through the rubber gaiter to the tailgate. I managed to stretch a wire for the interior lights and had to require it.

See the videos in this link for some help.

Also There’s a cable tie that holds the bundle of wires behind the radio unit to the frame. You might need to reach up above the fuse box and snip it to get the radio out. Finding space for all the wires when it goes back in is challenging!

But overall it’s brilliant and I’m really pleased with it.
