I need to replace the third brake light in the centre of the tailgate which also incorporated the washer,

I have a leak into the boot of the car I am still trying to find, but have decided to replace the light as it is cracked.

Anyway I could not work out how to remove the old one, but did get it out in the end in several bits. The replacement has four clips and two black sliders as retainers.

The unit will not just push in and you can't access the clips from behind once it is in place.

I have already destroyed one new light trying to fit it. Does anyone know how these lights should be fitted or direct me to fitting instructions.

I’ve got the bodywork manual. Will see if I can find this.
