frayed seat belt

Featured Replies

my drivers side front seat belt has started cutting into the plastic on the pillar, just passed mot but they said it won't next year and quoted me £570 to replace

what do you think

Its an MOT failure.....If you asked a Skoda dealer, then that price makes sense. Try with a local VAG specialist and see if you get a better price (would be expecting £300-350 for that type of replacement)

Just source something 2nd hand on ebay as plenty of breakers out there

Or carefully de-fluff the edge with scissors and a lighter.

I had this on my Scout when I bought it (was an advisory) £50 for a reel from a breakers and less than an hour to fit. Who ever quoted 570 is having your pants down. Longest bit of work was whipping the seat out to make access easy.
