Turning the screen off

Featured Replies

Simple question, but I'm going to guess that it isn't a simple answer!

Is there a way to turn the main screen off when driving (esp at night for less distraction)

While I would prefer the whole screen off, I'd settle for the main part to be off, and the status bar at the top to be on.

I have tried pressing the on/off button, and yes that does "blank" most of the screen, but it leaves it grey rather than black, and thus quite alot of light bleed.

Anyone shed (less) light on this?

Thanks

I press the on off button on mine and the screen goes off except for a large clock and the screen is black. I'll take a pic later. This is standard on mine, I have not set it up myself.

There is an option to not have the clock. That’s how mine was set on collection. I did however see the option on the screen to show clock when infotainment is off

Here are my two standard options.
